Generally between 2-6 weeks. At review, adjustments are made as required. |

I am experiencing breakthrough bleeding. Is this normal? |

Yes. Unless the bleeding is very heavy or frequent continue your
troches until your next review. Most bleeding settles within 2-3
months. It is of no cause for concern. If you are bleeding heavily for
more than 10 days, please contact the nurse consultant. |

My period has stopped altogether. Is this normal? |

If you are in your reproductive years your periods will probably continue. They may stop. This is not a problem. |

I am experiencing crawling skin and/or hot flushes again. Does my treatment need review? |

Yes. Your treatment will need to be reviewed at regular intervals
and the formula of your troches changed accordingly. Ring the clinic to
make an appointment. |

I am starting to feel unwell on treatment. Does it mean it is no longer working? |

This just means your
treatment needs to be adjusted or updated. Please contact the nurse
consultant for a blood test form and make an appointment for review. |

I have put on weight. Is it because of the troches or treatment? |

No treatment we give you will encourage weight gain. Certain
aspects of treatment will assist with weight loss, however diet and
exercise remain very important. |

Is it normal for my breasts to become swollen and sore? |

A |
Yes. It will normally cease 6-8 weeks after starting replacement therapy. |

My sleeping patterns remain poor. Is there anything I can take? |

Yes. Melatonin. This is a natural sleep hormone. Please contact the clinic to arrange a script. |

Why am I getting pimples and/or facial hair? |

This could be related to the androgen in the troche, so your troche formula needs to be altered. |

I am experiencing hair loss. What can I do? |

Try a zinc supplement (25mg twice daily) together with Silica (hair and nail formula). |

It is compatible with most medications, however contact the doctor to confirm. |

Will estrogen increase my risk of breast cancer? |

Our program is protective against breast cancer. It will decrease your chances of developing breast cancer. |
